DESIGNER FURNITURE

The beauty of natural wood is permanent and improves with age, just like a good wine. It gives warmth to the home, can be restored and preserved for centuries.

“Good joinery will make tomorrow’s antiques possible; it will allow us to enjoy them for centuries to come and will perpetuate the art of the restorer-conservationist”.

“The use of wood is healthy for the present and the future. Working solid wood requires reforestation and controlled forests, which provide us with oxygen, rainfall, fertility, prevent erosion and do not pollute”.

Unlike industrial furniture made of chipboard and derivatives, solid furniture can be dismantled and reassembled dozens of times without suffering irreversible damage. Solid wood is NOT more expensive than laminated furniture because it stands the test of time. For example, a dining table will last for generations.

The furniture does not need to be made of “noble” wood as it is understood. A good pine table will last for 200 years. If we want to pay more, then ask for oak or walnut… it’s a question of luxury…

The carpenter’s trade is also at stake. It is not only a question of living in the present, let’s think about the future, and let’s be even a little selfish… “ours”… Ours as Human Beings living on this wonderful Earth.

Good cabinetmaking will give the antiques of tomorrow, allowing us to continue to enjoy great works for centuries and perpetuate the art of the restorative-conservative.”.
