MONUMENTAL SCULPTURES FOR PUBLIC SPACES, ROUNDABOUTS AND GARDENS
Monumental public sculptures for gardens require a different approach to space than indoor sculptures. With the help of photographs of the surroundings, models, and a study of suitable materials, we can design the sculpture to fit in well. It is also important to consider the different perspectives in order to balance the views of the work and the different elements surrounding it, such as trees and houses. In the case of sculptures for public spaces such as parks and roundabouts, safety considerations will also need to be taken into account.

Monumental public sculptures almost always require a good foundation to secure the work properly and often also to anchor it firmly to the ground with stainless steel fasteners.
It is also important to consider corrosion and wear and tear on the sculpture when it is outdoors. Cut steel and stainless steel are usually the most commonly used materials, but sculptures can also be made from wood. In this case, it is advisable to use rot-resistant woods such as melis pine, iroko, cedar, etc.
Here are some photos of sculptures I have designed for roundabouts and public spaces, gardens, etc.
